I'm only familiar with the table top version of the game. In V20 and Beckett's Jyhad Diary, the clan has only just sued for entry into the Camarilla. There's a very evocative scene described where they show video prophesying Ur-shulgi's awakening and their desire to join. My favorite moment is when the Tremere are put in their place with the line "Believe, Tremere, if it pleases you to do so, that you and your kind know more of blood magic than one who mastered it before the rise of Sumer. But I tell you now — your Clan did nothing to mine that we did not permit."
